More options for the html/text editor

Wish to see a specific feature/change in future releases? Feel free to post it here, and if it gets enough "likes", we'd definitely include it in future releases!

More options for the html/text editor

Post by bambinou » 2013-02-05 22:00

Hi,

I have noticed that it is impossible to add embed code nor iframe via the editor, will it be possible in the future to have an update regarding this please?
Here is the exact same editor but the guy managed to get an "allowed tag" function, would it not be fantastic if we could have this?

At the moment I am trying to add Youtube videos to show certain products but the editor just won't take it.

Thank you,

Ben

Allowing iframe/object tags to be directly input by users would open potential security holes (XSS attacks -- a malicious user being able to execute harmful code when other users view that record). A better practice is to allow only a specific type of content in the field, like Youtube video, scribd document, ... etc -- which I plan to add in future releases.

Hopefully a new release is coming before the end of this month .. I'm working on it.
