jQuery AppGini data API

Hi. I'm just a novice, but learning quickly. It would appear that with modern code, JQuery is a great way to go for simplicity, stability, and coding efficiency. Is there an AppGini jQuery data API standard that we can use Hooks and magic .js files for all transfer of data between front and backends?

ie. Is there a standard JQuery/AJAX/Json/SQL API between the front and backend of an AppGini applications, knowing the database, tables, and fields.

From what I'm learning, it would seem a great way to go.

If there is, details, tutorials, videos of the API would be most appreciated.
