Integrating image/s pasting functionality in AppGini rich text editor

The recommended method of customizing your AppGini-generated application is through hooks. But sometimes you might need to add functionality not accessible through hooks. You can discuss this here.

Integrating image/s pasting functionality in AppGini rich text editor

Post by barrada » 2024-08-04 14:05

I have spent decent amount of time trying to figure out a way to make nicEdit accept pasting images. Some many times i write my comments using niceEdit and I need to paste an image or even multiple images to support what i am writing using ctrl-v (better than clicking on insert picture or so) i have managed to achieve that but had to change from nicEdit to TinyMCE...

I am not really convinced with the change from nicEdit to TinyMCE as i felt i am playing with the core files! and it has many bugs too. :?

I have searched the forums and the tips within AppGini and couldn't find a topic there. Is there an easy way to achieve that using nicEdit and without
changing the core files and also without saving the images in the database as it will increase the DB size insanely. instead, it should be saved as a
file inside /images folder.
