Is it possible to Remove or Delete the File only in a record without deleting the entire record?

Yes, I done what you suggested, but it turned to be that I must select/check the option
Delete files from server when removed from record

I am not getting the "Remove File" checkbox display even with "Delete files from server when record removed is checked.
How do I turn the "Remove File" option on for my file upload field?

you must have uploaded a file to the DB, as the check box is only available in the edit mode..
