Hi Ahmed, do you have any update on where you are with updating AppGini to allow users to be in more than one group at a time?

Hello, can you explain what the advantage for this option is, where can you use it?
Do you have an example case?

It gives the administrator the ability to put a person in two or more groups that have different privileges. For instants, the Treasurer may have access to 15 tables whereas the President may have access to 10 other tables and the Secretary may have access to another 3 tables. Some positions may just have viewing and other have full access.
If the secretary position was not filled or was on leave the treasurer could take on the secretary’s duties. At the moment the admin would have to use the "set special permissions for the user" facility to add each of the extra tables with the appropriate permissions and then remove this access when the person returns. This can be difficult in remembering the correct tables for each position. Multiple groups would be simpler by just adding to or removing people from groups as required.

Ok, thanks for the example, it could be a nice feature.
At this moment you can create an extra group, where both permissions are set and make the 'special' user member of the new group.

If this option would come, then there must also be a primary/secondary group option.
Now there are scripts that check on group-membership, so that's something to think of when creating the new feature.
But I leave that up to the experts :ugeek:
