Wish to see a specific feature/change in future releases? Feel free to post it here, and if it gets enough "likes", we'd definitely include it in future releases!

Group Admin, Dashboard, SQL to populate field, more

Post by datacate » 2016-01-02 20:13

Hello -

Glad to read that a reporting interface is coming in 2016, that will be useful. Additional things that would be useful:

1. Group Admins - admin accounts that allow creation and management of all users within the group, as well as admin management of data belonging to users in that group, but no view or control outside of the group. Sort of a sub-admin.

2. Dashboard view, configurable to summarize and provide key statistics about data, at the user and group level, with visibility determined by user's settings.

3. The ability to use SQL to set the default value of any field, whether or not is a lookup field.

4. Ability to add and work with more custom fields for user accounts.

Happy new year!

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. They are all insightful and would benefit many users. Some are already on our to-do list for future releases (dashboard and more custom user fields). I added the others as well now.

Happy new year to you too!

Adding to this:

5. User-defined options lists, or alternatively allow mutliple select in lookup fields

6. Ability to add a lookup record on a fly when viewing it's lookup field for the modal of another table that was opened from a child tab (that's a mouthful)!
