datagrid is probably nice.
I try to see both sides: AG is extremly cheap - compared with other solutions, but on the other hand AG seems in several places "old". This does not mean it actually is "old" (and thus not useful), but I could imagine, that having more up-to-date (web-)features built right into, it could attract more customers.
Just to name a few:
- Why is copy group permissions not included (and once currently can use the AdminLTE for this)?
- Why is there no possibility to have users in more than one group?
- Why is there no way to have field based permissions (hide/lock)?
- Why is there not built in way to drag and drop files / photos for uploading?
- Why is there (still) no multi tenant (SAAS) option (but it seems you are preparing for something like this)?
- Why are file in the upload still not properly protected by default (from unauthorized access, once the URL is known)?
- Why are you still using Bootstrap 3, when there is Bootstrap 5 already?
- Why is MySQL/Maria DB still the only "really" supported database system?
- Why is there no datagrid/inline editing? This could make users feel much more "desktop app".
Maybe take a look here:a.gneady wrote: ↑2014-06-15 16:11Okay ... so, does anyone know of some online (hosted or downloadable) tool that lets users submit feature requests that can be voted up/down by other users? Something like uservoice.com but that can deal with multiple features (or a "backlog" in agile terms) and sort them by votes?

Some things I found with a quick look:

I am looking forward to new versions of AG
