User option to select number of records to display in table

On my wish list into the future:

A dropdown selection to allow individual Users to select the amount of records to display in each table view.

Perhaps preset options such as; 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, All (or something like that)

or even better still, allow the Admin to predetermine the options available to Users, as I could see there would be situations where you may have several thousand records and "display: All" would not be advisable.
