Hi,
I get the message:
You cannot leave this field empty.
for a field defined as Radio Button (it doesn’t matter if I define it as Dop-down list)
I've selected an option but still get that nasty message So what do I do wrong ??

I am not sure but it does look like you have a check mark in the box that says "required" try unchecking it and recompiling.

Hi Richard,
How simple it can be
Thank you
Maybe a suggestion:
Don't have the opportunity to mark the checkbox "Required" in cases of Drop-down list; Multiple choice list box; Radio buttons

Hi Ron,
I would rather guess that there has been a hickup with the settings. I should just work fine with the option list and having it as required.
Maybe you can try that again.
Did you, by any chance, have the field definied different before you made it an option list?
Any help offered comes with the best of intentions. Use it at your own risk. In any case, please make a backup of your existing environment before applying any changes.

Hi Pbötcher,
Thank you for your reaction.
I've marked the "Required" box again, generated the App and guess what: No problem this time.
So there was a kind of random “bug†or so.
I can’t recall changing field definitions that time.
