Anonymous user permissions

Is it possible to build an app in appgini where an anonymous user can register to be a member?

Hi,

can you explain a little bit more what you mean? AppGini provides the ability to register as a member. But per definition (at least my understanding) a registered user is not anonymous any more.

That is exactly my question: how do I set up an appgini web site that allows anonymous users to register as a member? When I create practice websites, I don't see a "register" icon on the sign in page. The dialog merely asks for userid and password and provides a link in case the user forgot their password. I've been scouring the appgini website/forum and the udemy course and I can't see any tutorials or tips.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

go to the admin area, create a new group. In that from you see the ability to "Allow visitors to sign up?"

Also in the "Admin settings" you can set the general permission and select what shall happen.

Hope that helps

Yeah, I found it. Thanks.

Related question if you don't mind. In the address area of the"sign up" dialog screen, is it possible to change the "state" field to something else like "county" or "zone"?

Thanks in advance.
