force specific image dimensions for upload? trying to give standardized looks for the app

hi all, is there a way to force specific image dimensions for upload? (500x600) trying to give standardized looks for the app, if users keeps uploading images with different sizes it makes the display of table view ugly, so, any clues anyone?
