support for php v.7

Post by artemisia » 2019-12-21 20:49

At which version did AppGini begin support for php v.7? I am currently using AppGini 5.3 and php v5.6, which does not run at all when my server is switched to php v7. I can upgrade to the latest AppGini if I know that that will fix this problem.

[Unfortunately the search function for the Forum does not allow search terms of fewer than 4 characters (why?). That's an awful lot of valid programming and other words that remain undiscoverable on a site search. Using the site: function in the browser did not turn up any relevant answers. Release change logs do not seem to have this info that I could see.]

thanks, Bob

Hi,

I think that since AppGini 5.51 it is supporting PHP 7.
Any help offered comes with the best of intentions. Use it at your own risk. In any case, please make a backup of your existing environment before applying any changes.

I have installed AG 5.81 on my db and it's running with php7, so that seems to answer my question. It'd be handy to have php version support as part of the release notes.
