PreSales Question-Can I Only Show The Logged In User's Records?

I'm wondering...
Is there a way to only show the user his own records?
So....
Bob logs in... He can only see and edit his own records.
Also, I'm wondering....
If we have a supervisor Mike.... and Bob reports to Mike. Is there a way to allow Mike to edit Bob's records?
