Date Field in Data View Disappears

When I add a date 2015-02-01 in the calendar or manually for a date field, such as the field Date_Listed and save, it adds it to the table in the correct column, Date_Listed.
However, when I go to edit any other field after, because I did not choose that calendar date again, when I click save, it removes the date from that column.
How can I get this field to simply keep the date originally inputted like all other data types??
