Upcoming Feature: Allow users (!) to hide fields in Detail View
Posted: 2023-02-24 13:08
I would like to briefly introduce a new feature that will most likely be included in the next version of the AppGini Helper Javascript Library. Similar to toggling columns in Table View, users (!) will be able to hide and show fields in Detail View with next version.
To keep the functionality of our application, mandatory fields can NOT be hidden.
Here are a few screenshots:
(Please do not be confused about the field names. It is a table with different data types that I like to use for testing. Of course, in your App the fields of your table are listed here)
Open toggle-panel
Hide field
Hide/Show all fields
Labels will be in your language!
Filter
Apply to selected fields
Buttons will change filtered fields, only: first, filter for certain fields, then use the buttons.
You can see that only fields matching "input" have been hidden on button click.
State settings will be automatically stored in the users' browser. On reload and on load later on the state will be restored.
If at least one field is hidden, the toggle button is coloured as a "warning" so that users can see that certain content is hidden.

(There are two videos showing a bit more of the functionality.)
I hope you like it. Your feedback is very much welcome.
Kind regards,
Jan
