Mass Update Plugin Lookup from CSV file

Hi all,
I use the Mass Update Plugin in my app. I want to have the mass update select items from a dropdown menu that is pulled from a tablename.fieldname.csv file in the Hooks folder. However, Mass Update only seems to be pulling from the list of items in the AppGini definition. Am I wrong to expect Mass update to pull from the CSV file??
