5.93: lookup/display for datatype textfield broken

Post by onoehring » 2021-01-21 16:09

Hi,

unfortunately the lookup (in DV) and TV do not show the "full" value of a lookup of the datatype textfield anymore.
It was possible to have table B with a field of datatype textfield. When you used this lookup in another table (table A), HTML that exists in the field in table B is rendered ... but not anymore. This makes lookup (and results) quite boring.
I suspect, this change is unintended. Please make the old way working again.

Some example pictures of how it SHOULD look (AG < 5.93):
l31a.png
l31a.png (8.15 KiB) Viewed 885 times
l31b.png
l31b.png (1.84 KiB) Viewed 885 times
l31c.png
l31c.png (4.67 KiB) Viewed 885 times
And this is a direct comparison: Left AG version 5.92 with colors and how boring it looks on right in version 5.93:
l31d.png
l31d.png (20.56 KiB) Viewed 885 times

Instead we get a note ... that's well ... actually my HTML in that field WAS intended (and is needed to generate CSS on the fly):

l31e.png (2.16 KiB) Viewed 880 times

Hi,

well, in the child-display it still seems to work - at least the rendering of html:

Broken version 5.93 and 5.94:
The first picture shows how it looks, when I am using a RICHTEXT (HML) field
l35.png
l35.png (29.88 KiB) Viewed 854 times
This second picture shows the result of a TEXTAREA:
l35_textarea.png
l35_textarea.png (93.23 KiB) Viewed 854 times
Both images do not reflect for behavior of earlier versions did display this:
