Search Page Maker: 1st dropdown ok, others fail ... inherit permission creates unexpected behavior

Hi,
I have used Search Page Maker for a single table.
Search fields are text, dropdown (1),dropdown(2),dropdown(3),dropdown(4).
The SQL for dropdown 1 works and the list is shown.
Neither dropdown 2,3 or 4 show anything. Only the search (and icon) is displayed.
I was able to find the problem (annoyance): I was logged in as user who does not have any edit / view rights for the source of that field ... and I have set "inherit permission".
Well, probably the user should be able to use these fields as filter criteria (and to edit the record) even if he can not access them at all.
