Rankings in this forum

I notice that the ranking system is based upon how many posts you make.
It does not rank according to answer given or how useful or knowledgeable the answer is.
Another forum I belong to ranks based upon proper answers or answers/posts which point to a way to do things or the code needed.
Example:
Newbie - only asks questions and does not give answers
Seeker - asks lots of questions but less than 10% of those posts are actual help for another forum member
Guide - posts more answers than questions and the answers point to other references on the web - no code given
Apprentice - posts lots of answers which contain some basic code elements but not many explanations
Journeyman - post more questions than answers, posts code with explanations, finds references which contain solutions. The go to person when you have a serious question.
In this forum you can be a AppGini Guru by just posting questions. It does not speak to the ability which Guru implies other than the ability to post a lot of questions.
I wonder if Ahmad could consider changing some rankings. While this is work, maybe the moderators could look at this. I do this on another closed forum as a moderator and it has generated real differences in how the forum is used. It has also become a competition to retain the journeyman status or to attain the status. The other forum also uses software and what the owner of the software does is give a 75% discount to all new versions to those who are journeymen. There can only be 30 journeymen on the forum hence the competition to keep the status or attain it. (In other words there is a benefit given to posting which helps the software maker). (This software is very specialized and the initial package costs $1000 - updates are $250 each usually.)
All posts get ranked by those who view them. The ranking is a 1 to 10 scale for usefulness and clarity. These ranking are used to determine status. The ranking is only attached to answers and posts to be considered as useful and are not a question.
Thoughts?
