I realise this bug(?) is not likely to effect many users but I just thought I'd point it out in case anybody else is confronted with the same problem.

It appears that image upload fields created in pre V5.40 AXP projects don't seem to be able to have a change of field type when opened in Version 5.40?

I imagine this is likely due to the new method media field types are handled in 5.40? The old "Image" checkbox is now removed/replaced.

To replicate: Open an AXP file that has existing image upload fields and was created/saved in pre V5.40. Now open that AXP in V5.40 and try to change the field type in the media tab from image to document (or anything else). It appears to change until you click OK on the file upload config dialog box and then the field reverts to image upload. It seems the problem is there is no means by which to uncheck the old "Image" checkbox as it is now gone.

It is unlikely to be a problem for most Users and admittedly not something that I'd expect would be picked up in normal testing but it does appear as a bug. Not normally a problem to just delete and replace the field but I do have one project that I've been asked to change 20 image fields to doc fields in amongst 400+ fields.

I tried checking this issue using an old project file. It seems indeed that after changing the file types in the upload options, you need to open the image options window (by double-clicking the "Image" option in the media tab, then uncheck all options under the "table view" and "detail view" tabs, and empty the thumbnail size boxes then click OK. This would set the field be a "File upload" field.

However, this is painful to do of course, so we'll try fixing it in the next release. Please accept my deep apologies for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
