default value for creationTime

Post by pilandros » 2014-02-22 19:10

I am having trouble with the %%creationTime%% default value when used in a time type field. When app runs it shows a "<- creation time ->" message instead of the current time value. Is this a bug? is there a workaround? (I'm using the 5.23 version)

Hmm ... I wasn't able to reproduce this issue ... Here is what I tried:

1. Created a field in AppGini as follows: http://screencast.com/t/klt5tzT8KA0
2. Here is how a sample record looks like in the table view: http://screencast.com/t/HrhM5bAmJjK
3. Here is how the same record looks like in the detail view: http://screencast.com/t/IkcPYK6PkFj

Am I missing something?

I also see the <!-- editingTime --> as a default on new records. Once you put in data, then you're ok.

Related, I'm also having issues with using the US short date format; it displays as MM/DD/YYYY HHMMSS on in the table view, but displays wants YYYY-MM-DD HHMMTZ in the record view.

I'd be glad to document it more if there was a way for me to send my screenshots and code to you for further diagnosis (without them being public accessible).
