Re: How? Make one field read-only for usergroup

Hi, I am not clear on what you are asking. Are the additional fields added to the table? I would look at the tablename _dv hook. There, you can add criteria if the field is readonly for some and not others. If the field is readonly for all users, then another option is to put it in tablename -dv.js ...

I believe the file you're referencing is tablename.php inside hooks folder, I am referring to tableview_view.php inside main app folder
Yes of course, thanks for the check!

Re: report with fields from different tables

Hi,

Take a look at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4449, perhaps get some ideas there. You create a dummy table, then you build the SQL to get the data from the original source(s) to this dummy table.

Re: Export the e-mail addresses only...

Tablename_view.php is the shorthand for the magic hooks file for each table. Insert your table name for tablename in the filename, in your hooks folder. Take a look at https://bigprof.com/appgini/help/advanced-topics/hooks/magic-files . @DOliveira thanks for that tip about the CSV hook. You said tha...

Re: appgini_query_log table???

Oof, yes that is a design flaw. At a minimum there should be a flag to disable the logging.

Thanks peebee for this analysis and thanks again Jan for the next iteration of workaround.

Re: Show fields only for certain groups

Hi,

I would try something like
$j('#Quote_attachment').parent('.form-group').hide();

Make sure the case on the field name is correct.

Re: Export the e-mail addresses only...

Hi, The filtering just puts conditions on the extract, to include only the data you care about (you supply that criteria). It sounds like for your client table you want to Export to CSV. This gets all the columns in the table so you would have to delete all the columns except the email address. Hope...

Re: New import tool filesize limit

Hi Dario, Sorry if you've already been down this path. I found in admin\pageUploadCSV.php a call in upload() to getUploadedFile, passing the value PHP_INT_MAX. Do you know what PHP_INT_MAX is set to on your system? To experiment, you could hardcode some other values in that getUploadedFile call, or ...

Re: Changing table group appearance

Hi, 1. You can move the tables in the AG (console) app, and that changes the order of appearance on the web. Highlight the table, you should see the top menu as attached, select the Up/Down arrows. TopMenu.png 2. Highlighting the table, on the right side you will see a Table Group button. Click that...

Re: FORMAT() Not Working in Calculated Field

Hi Mohamed,

I do not understand from your description what you are actually doing. My best guess, this is a display issue. Have you tried to select the best format (like Thousands separator, no decimal) on the Data Format tab for your calculated field in AppGini?

Re: How? Change tableview source to custom SQL query

Yes, I think this is much less maintenance than the view. However, this means you don't see the same data directly in the database as you do through AG, correct? From your description, this meets your need, you wanted to present the data in the TV.

I like it!

Re: How? Change tableview source to custom SQL query

Hi Olaf, To piggy-back off of what Pascal has suggested, could you use this dummy table to create a view in SQL (AG thinks it is a table, but drop the table in SQL and create a view based off of your new queries)? Maybe I am not understanding the problem. A limitation of this solution is that it bec...

appgini_query_log table???

Hi all, I just noticed this table appgini_query_log. It seems to log internal SQL transactions, it is nothing I am doing (intentionally). This is using AG 5.97. My more mature app is still on 5.84 so perhaps this is a new feature in 5.97. The transactions look almost like there are some near infinit...

Re: Appgini app as SaaS product

Normally I'd tend toward making this all a captured experience, but since each instance is partitioned from others, I don't see a reason not to provide an admin password. Of course you will want to make that unique for each instance. You might also check with the AG team about licensing such usage. ...

Re: How to create clickable File Auto-fill Lookup

Hi Zala, I have done this without a specific correlation table. The document table is a child of my primary table, so there is a reference to the primary ID in each record of my document table. Perhaps the real issue though is the configuration of your File column. My document (column) is configured...

Re: Filter Lookup Value

I think the problem is that the user part is server side and we're handling the dropdown on the client. A way could be to implement in the tablename_dv hook. You can have different blocks in the hook for each user type, something like (not tested) function tablename_dv($selectedID, $memberInfo, &$ht...

Re: Hidden field's value get overwritten when updating record

Hi Edix, Are you manually setting those column values using SQL in the insert hook? It is possible that the hidden values are still represented in the $data structure in the update hook, so by not setting it explicitly in the update hook, it is null and that is what is getting updated. Whatever you ...

Hi Alan, Yes it is not only possible but pretty easy. Of course then you are responsible to getting your users to the page, presumably from a hook file. For instance I have utility php pages that can rebuild a view in my database. In my tablename-dv.js page I create a button that redirects to such a...
