Re: Auto login

Hi,

does your browser on your mobile clear cookies? (if it does not work in your browser).

If it does not work in your "app", "convertify" probably does not keep cookies. I suggest inquiring at that place.

Re: Display detail view only?

Hi, I admit not reading everything from above. Can't you use in AG: "Detailview in seperate page" AND in the hooks/tablename.php -> _init function this: $options->SeparateDV = 1; // 1= seperate DV, 0= TV+DV on one page This way I am showing some program settings to the user without any tableview. In...

Re: Field Permissions (hide / lock fields by usergroup)

Hi,

searching the FieldPermissions code, I can not find the error message you provided. This makes me think, it's not an error from FieldPermission.
From your description I find it impossible to trace back the possible error source.

Re: HELP with code to update quantity in inventory database

Hi,

in addition to pbötcher, I want to add, that you should probably reset the "add" column to "0" after your calculation.
Then, even IF the code would run each time, it would only add 0 to the subtotal.

Re: HELP with code to update quantity in inventory database

Hi,

you will need to open the file /hooks/inventoryitem.php and look for the function after_update. There this (actually: adjusted) code would go.

Re: HELP with code to update quantity in inventory database

Hi, wouldn't it work to set the quantity as a calculated field and let AG do the job? Another idea: Do not use two fields to change the quantity, but only one: For example: "Correction". In that field the user types "5" or "-5". Then, in the after before_update (of after_update) hook calculate the n...

Re: Help new

Hi pasbonte, please use the [ code ] tag to write code, it makes it much easier to read. Your last code is missing a closing } (and may contain more syntax errors) or it was just forgotten? Please be very precise when posting code that does not work - a single missing } might make a huge difference....

Hi,
see Jans's point 4 above. You need to add that code into the existing file - as he described.

Re: Simple but Cool Tricks

Hi,

AG is using bootstrap. Probably \resources\initializr\css\bootstrap.css ... but as you say, you are a beginner .. why not simply use AG as it is for the moment?

You can change "colors" in AG like so:

Re: Connecting AppGini Database to Printer?

Hi,

you COULD use the same credentials as for your general AG application (if this is not a security risk). You can find those in the config.php file.
You could also create a new database user (if you have permissions to do so with phpmyadmin or adminer.

Re: To many Entry Processes

Hi, well, your hosting explained it nicely: They seem to have looked at your database. MySQL is the databasemanagementsystem which can hold different databases. Each table (in each database) has it's own "format". Currently your tables seems to be using the (old) "MyISAM" format. As your hosting com...

Re: Connecting AppGini Database to Printer?

Hi, I do not really understand the problem. Isn't it that you either can use the printer from PC A or you can not? As AG is a browser application, if you run it on PC A (in your browser) and you can print to that printer (if it's connected and the connection is working in general). Jan's questions a...

Re: Exeoutput for PHP

Hi, I agree, looks promising and with a RAD tool like AG even more. But Jan made an important point: AG is a database application which most likely will be used my more than one person. For this I am not sure, if placing it on a desktop makes much sense. Also, I want to point out, that working local...

Re: Appgini Database-Backup-Restore-Plugins

Hi Ronnie, thank you for publishing your plugin. I have a question (did not try add on yet): You are writing, one can use a cron service to run the backup. It does not sound like the plugin is checking for some password before backing up the file. Is that correct? In this case everyone could create ...

Re: To many Entry Processes

Hi Scott, I doubt, that getting a larger hosting package will solve the problem - as even large providers put a limit on the concurrent database connections. Maybe your own root server might help - but I actually doubt this as well. It seems strange to me, that the error occurs again and again - eve...

Hi, the error you are describing is a MySQL notification (well, "error" is you want), see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30931749/how-to-fix-508-resource-limit-is-reached-in-php-mysql I had a similar (the same) problem: Requests for the database (reload of pages, search etc.) did not go through...

Colored child-tabs in detail view

Hi, it would be nice to have an option to color the child-tabs. Not only different colors would be nice, but also the option to set another color if the tab becomes the active one. Short: 2 colors for each tab. Could look like this (done with css, https://forums.appgini.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&p...

Re: Colored tabs

Hi, well, if you are talking about regular tabs which occur when you have lookup fields and are shown in the bottom of the details page, I see two different problems: a) color b) "when all the fields in that tab are filled in" In my opinion b) is the much bigger problem. As child-tabs can contain ha...

Re: AppGini app to exe

Hi, for me, D Oliveira's idea sounds pretty descent as AG is not supposed to be a local application. If you want local, set up Xammp or something similar and have it run in the browser, using local resources. This way you are compromising the AG feature to easily build web applications - which makes...

Hi,

if I understand you right, you should be able to copy tables from one AG project to another: Simple copy & paste (use AG toolbar for that).

Custom functions to replace AG internal functions

Hi Ahmed, this is a repost from https://forums.appgini.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=16829#p16827 - but I think it has a valid place in the feature suggestions.
