Re: Data Format Bug

Ok, I have built a new DB and only an amount field with Decimal datatype and Euro-curreny dataformat (€21.456,78) If I add a new record then there are different values that are shown: Input = 10,50 - TableView = 10,00 - DetailView = 10.00 (rounds up and the decimal signs are different) Input = 10.50...

Also a funny thing: the original topic was made 5 years ago, so it is definitely time for a nice solution.

Re: Data Format Bug

Hi, that's the problem in Europe, we have a comma (,) as a decimal sign. So if my users put in an amount, they will saying 1,25 in stead of 1.25 (in text 1 euro and 25 cents) And maybe it isn't a AppGini thing and it is how MySQL just saves it in de database and that's how it works. Then my question...

Re: Data Format Bug

Hi Olaf, it is set to Decimal.

@ D Oliveira, Jan's solution is in the newest version of AppGini, but it doesn't seems to work.

Re: Data Format Bug

Hi, such a nice thing as AppGini, where everything is made easy, why can it be that this "simple" thing isn't in the package programmed. I can't figure it out, tried alot of things, but I use AppGini because I'm not a web-developer, I'm just an IT-guy that needs simple DB's to create and use. I don'...

Re: Data Format Bug

Hello, I have been of the radar for sometime, now getting back and picking it up.

What was the problem with this thing again?
In the latest version of AppGini the info from Jan was applied, but what is the right Data type?
The decimals of my ammounts are not beeing saved, so €20,30 is going to €20,00

Re: BLOB datatype

Also a reply to pbottcher, I missed also your post yesterday.

It's not a NASA database, so the images that are going to be stored are not that much.
Also it would be nice to shrink the images at time of conversion to BLOB, so a 6 MB image can be reduced to 200 KB.

Re: BLOB datatype

Hi, if I upload it with AppGini, then I can look it up and it shows the image with the url to the website.url/images/randomID.jpg But when I look it up with PHPMyAdmin, then I can only download a image.bin file where the name of the file is in this file, not the image itself. But as I wrote earlier,...

BLOB datatype

Hello, I want to get images into the DB as a BLOB type, not as an image. This is for a tool we build documents and the image-functionality of this tool works onlt if the image is imported in bytes. If I set a field in AppGini as a BLOB and I upload an image, then the image doesn't get into the recor...

Re: BLOB?

Hello, is this already implemented?

I have an issue with an application, it needs the image field datatype as a byte, so this is a BLOB, if I read it correctly on the internet.
But at this moment I cannot choose the BLOB datatype if I insert an image field in AppGini.

Re: Data Format Bug

Thanks again Jan, It works good. I changed it personally to this, the Euro-sign in front, thanks for the tip. NL Euro (custom) example: € 21.345,67); CONCAT('€ ', FORMAT(%%FIELD%%, 2, 'nl_NL')) The other thing, that the "." is the decimal as input, that's still a problem, that was my next ...

hide add record parent table

Hello, I wanted to search this, but the search is not working.
I'm not seeing this option or looking over it, but:

Where can I find the option to hide the "Add record" button for a parent record in a detailview of a record?

Re: Users in Multiple Groups

Ok, thanks for the example, it could be a nice feature. At this moment you can create an extra group, where both permissions are set and make the 'special' user member of the new group. If this option would come, then there must also be a primary/secondary group option. Now there are scripts that ch...

Re: How to Store Street Address

Hello, I just figured this problem out for the full name, but address is the same: Put this code: $data['fieldname'] =$memberInfo['custom'][1]; in a hooks\tablename.php under one of the functions. The number after custom is the number of fields you use in an account. https://bigprof.com/appgini/help...

Re: Full username auto fill

Ok, I got it also read-only through hooks tablename-dv.js:

$j(function(){
if($j('#naam').val() == '') {
$j('#naam').prop('readonly', false);
}else{
$j('#naam').prop('readonly', true);
}
})

Re: Full username auto fill

Ok, I got is so far, that if I put this "$data['naam'] =$memberInfo['custom'][0];" in a hooks\tablename.php under "function <tablename>_after_insert".
But I want that field to be read-only, so that is filled when a new record is added and cannot be changed, how can I do this?

Re: AppGini Helper JavaScript Library

Like AppGini, the Helper Library is worth the money, I'm using it to finetune my webapplication. It saved me a lot of time, especially if you are not a Java-coder and not scripting every day. @Ahmed Genedy (AppGini) and @Jan Setzer (Helper Library), please keep up the great work, I'm waiting for the...
