Records per page

Would it be possible to define the number of records per page directly in AppGini?

Currently, it could be modified in "parent-children.php" but it would be nice to not have to rechange it each time the app is generated with AppGini.

Best regards

Re: Linking a field to the users Table

Thanks for the tips. They are very useful. However, it seems that it requires a manual intervention on the SQL database. Somehow, it would have been better to rely on the generic installation/update system within Appgini in order to simplify the maintenance, in particular when there are several inst...

Re: Field editor in table view

This is a great idea. Thank you very much!!! Some remarks: - it would be nice to be able to indicate which fields could be edit directly in the table and wich fields cannot (for example computed field) - the best would be to be able to manage select, multiselect, dates and checkboxes as well - when ...

Re: “Inline Detail-View” in Children Tables

Thanks for the feedback.

Would it be difficult to add custom JS to activate inline detail-view in a sub-table?

The app we use is centred per project with all tables being sub-tables of the projects table. Therefore, all users always interact through that Project view.

Linking a field to the users Table

Hi, I would like to link a table to the users table, like a look-up field. I didn't find an easy way to do that except by recreating the users table into AppGini, which is clearly not good practice. Would it be possible to be able to select the users table or the users_groups table as the parent tab...

“Inline Detail-View” in Children Tables

Hi, Is it possible to activate Inline Detail-View in sub-tables displayed on the parent detail view page? The purpose would be to remove the modal page to be able to edit children directly. I have recently bought your inline detail-view plugin and it seems to work only on the table view page. Best r...

Re: Backup your database (easy)

Just to mention a small bug in your script.

At the beginning on the script, it should be "$dbServer" instead of "$dbServe".

Thanks a lot for your script.

Versioning of the database

Hi,
it seems possible using TRIGGER to add versioning of some MySQL tables (keeping records of INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE).
Have you ever considered to add such feature in AppGini or through a dedicated add-on?

If not possible directly in AppGini, do you know an easy way to implement such a feature?

Re: Global hook for permissions

Another comment, it will also be relevant to use that function before inserting a record. Just a quick example. Consider a project management system with sub-tables attached to projects. You could consider that a user could have the right to insert records in a sub-table only for certain projects an...

Re: Global hook for permissions

Hmm .. to make sure I understand what you describe, would this be for example something like this: get_custom_permissions($table, $pk, $operation, $user_info) that the application would call before displaying a record, editing or deleting it? The application would call this function passing the tab...

Global hook for permissions

Would it be a way to have a hook allowing to define custom permissions functions without overwriting files generated by AppGini? With a global hook for example. I have a project management system and all tables are sub-tables of the main Projects table. I want to define permission per project, using...

Re: view more than 10 records in a Child Table

Such customisation will be overwritten when the app is regenerated by AppGini.

It would be better to be able to customise it directly within AppGini or through a specific hook.

Re: application title

Currently, the application title is derived from the database name. But it's not appropriate in some cases: - if the application is an acronym (e.g. OGCS) capitalization is not kept ==> Ogcs - it's not possible to use accented characters (éèà...), which is problematic in other languages than English...
