Re: Bootstrap Calendar App?

Also take a look at this :

http://www.luxsoft.eu/
http://calendarforum.dk/

It is loaded with functionality - and it has a self-contained display for showing events. The display(s) is in one single PHP-file.

It is not bootstrap - but take a look anyway.

Re: Set a table to appear directly in the "detailed view" mode

You could use the parameter ?SelectedID=xx This will open in detail view for the specific id. But then you afterwards have to go via the table to choose a new. A way could be that you have the table to the left and the detail view to the right. This way you can still open on a specific ID and afterw...

Re: insert a text at the top of the detailed view of a table

I guess there are more ways to achieve this. A way that requires no code in hooks is : Make a dummy field ( instructions)for the detail view. I suuggest to put the field in top. In the description for this field ( in the AppGini app ) you put an iframe. The source for the iframe should be the html-p...

Re: SET Value of Parent TABLE field in Child field

Okay - I see. Although I still don't understand why you want to store the text instead of the ID, I think I understand the situation. I think this, however - will require some code that I cannot help with. But this forum has many great users that can do this - I think. I will now leave this thread a...

Re: SET Value of Parent TABLE field in Child field

Maybe I misunderstand you, but you need no code for this. In the field in the criteria and questions, you have as lookup in outcomes, you set the Parent caption field part 1, to the textvalue you want to see. Then in criteria and questions you will have a SOnumber. This field is a dropdown field and...

Re: Chat box

Take a look at : https://www.tawk.to I have not integrated it in a AppGini app yet, but it is really easy to integrate. You get some code that you paste into the page you want it to appear on, and then you have a chat-box in lower right corner. Functions on desktops as well as mobiles. Useful for su...

Re: Enter a url in the description of a field.

Hello fgazza

This should be possible.
As long as you type it in as one line, then it is possible.
You can even have an iframe in the description.
I am not sure if this is intentional, as AppGini don't like iframes. I hope it will be allowed also in coming versions.

Re: fix table header

Take a look at this amazing solution from pböttcher : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2673
It functions and number of records on a "page" can be set in AppGini, and the fixed area can be set in the code.

Re: Order by date if lookup field

@fgazza
just a question : Would it be possible for you to use the date format as : yyyy-mm-dd.
With this format, it should give the same result if sorting is in date or alphabetical order.

Re: Upload via FTP

Is FTP a must?

If not, then I have a good script that can view files, and upload files. Can be password-protected. The uploading is browser-based.
It is all in a single php-file.

Create views in AppGini

It would be a good thing if you could create views in AppGini. You should have the possibility to create a "special" table as a copy of another table. The field definitions should be shown automatically from the "original" and should not be changeable. You should have the possibility to add new fiel...

Re: insert data in the first table the same data is automatically inserted in the second identical table

There is no code that need to be integrated. The example was only to show how to make a view with a calculated row. The view only has to be created once. But you have to create it manually. Once it is created it can be used almost like a "normal" table. All you have to do is : In AppGini you create ...

Re: insert data in the first table the same data is automatically inserted in the second identical table

Short answer - yes. The following example defines a view that selects two columns from another table as well as an expression calculated from those columns: mysql> CREATE TABLE t (qty INT, price INT); mysql> INSERT INTO t VALUES(3, 50); mysql> CREATE VIEW v AS SELECT qty, price, qty*price AS value F...

Re: insert data in the first table the same data is automatically inserted in the second identical table

Could you not make the second table as a view of the first table. This way all data is automatically updated. You could first create both tables in AppGini. Then upload and let the tables be created. Then delete the "mirror"-table and recreate it as a view of the first table. Hope you understand wha...

Re: disable row editing if a field is equal to....

I have a question to this : Should also not something be done in the detail-view? I guess that mouse (left) click is disabled if record contains a certain value. But what if user right-click and then "pick" the link-address/URL, and opens this in a new tab - will the user then not see the detail view?

Re: Filtering tables with dropdowns

This could be really good. And in the dropdown - a count for each group-by. By this I mean : the dropdown should show the different grouped values for a column and then a count for each existence. Much like when you make a filter for a shop or so. The count should give a hint of how many records wil...

I thought that setting the records per page would also affect the setting for the child table - but apparently not. It is maybe hardcoded and prepared for a setting option in a future release.

Re: view more than 10 records in a Child Table

Hello nycwebmaster You could use the amazing piece of code displayed by pböttcher https://forums.appgini.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2673&p=8401#p8401 It is made in the hook's and will not be overwritten. This code is really useful. It still initially show 10 records. but if you set the records to...

Re: Multiple items update at once with a "invoice" output format

1+2 : You create an invoice. On this invoice you create lines. You create the invoice-lines by choosing from another table ( the products table). On each line you put in a quantity. This way you have a copy of the product as a invoice-line. When you delete a line in the invoice it is not the product...

Re: Multiple items update at once with a "invoice" output format

Just to clarify :
You create the view table as a "normal" table in Appgini. It could be a copy of the original table.
The view has to be created on the server.

Re: Multiple items update at once with a "invoice" output format

Should it be only you that could perform this operation? Or should also other persons be able to do it. If it is more persons, then you could create an invoice by creating a invoice-header ( parent ) and then "attach" invoice lines ( will be child ) from a product table. This would be much like you ...
