Re: store VALUE instead ID

May I suggest to create a field "product_details" (or whatever name works for you) with a type "text" that holds the data or info for each product involved in the transaction at the time of the creation of the document. Then you may populate this field by using the "hooks/your-table.php" script, mod...

thumbnails not showing

Hi AppGini forum,
I am using the latest version 5.72 (as of June2018) and when I read the changes made for this version, I thought this thumbnail error was corrected.
I already run the admin/reconstructing thumbnails script and nothing happened.
Anybody with this same error? Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Session Logins

There are several problems tied to this issue that some applications (some of mine included) must be facing to deal with the consequences of having repeated or duplicate active logged users. The summary and the possible solution to solve this problem/issue is this: We need to avoid that a user is lo...

trouble with thumbnails

I am having trouble displaying graphics and thumbnails. I am using ver 5.62 rev 990 under Win10 and had no problems with prior AppGini version 5.5 with the same Win10 OS. I have a table with a media/image field, where I need to upload a graphic and show a thumbnail in their "tablename_tv.php" displa...

Re: Login problem

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I suspect that it is as simple as AppGini generated code verifies that the "user" is logged properly. Not that the "password's user" was logged properly. So if the username was logged properly, AppGini will allow the properly-logged username to continue, i...

Re: Http vs Https concerning generated code

Yes, the code generated can by either accesed via http and/or https. Since every link handled by AppGini is created as a referral of the same URL/server ie. "../images/.." instead of "http://server/images/.." Although avoid using specific URL/paths including either "http://" or "https://" in any URL...

Changing Language & Theme screen

I've developed a rather complicated way to modify a generated project to allow the users to change Theme & Language to be used within the generated app, but it involves changes to several files on the main App folder , which may be kind of a delicate operation; it is easy to mess up things whis way....

Documented Apps in AppGini

I have invested in serveral "PHP App generation tools" for quite some time (+15 years) and I have gone through several known ones with some good, bad and worst experiences. Admin group access, in ver 5.60

In the new version 5.60 when you go into the Table View screen (record details) there is a red special button (top right corner) that will be shown only for the admin user with specific record information. This is a neat feature to have there for the Admin user. Although there are some times you nee...

Re: How large is too large for a project with AppGini ...

In order to add several tables to an AppGini project, I worked and tested a MySQL-DB prior to get into the AG project; I created a new AppGini project where I imported the tested Mysql database and it worked ok. Only problem were for descriptions (tables & fields), groups and table settings which ha...

Re: How large is too large for a project with AppGini ...

Yes Ahmed, the issue was exactly that, adding tables from database when the project already exists in AppGini and you gave me a workaround by creating a new project then importing the modified databse. I will try that.

Re: How large is too large for a project with AppGini ...

Hi, Here is my tiny experience: The largest project I am currently running with Appgini 100% perfect is: 46 tables - some tables with 150+ columns (I know 150+ might sound too much but they are production ingredients and must be done like this for cost calculations). I do not see any reason why you...

I don't have a specific question but an Issue about design and good practices, I would like to get clarified with a little help from experienced users of this Forum. I have a rather large project to set up and run with AppGini. It is some 100+ tables (and growing) and will be divided into 8 areas or...

Re: date modified field is being set to '0000-00-00 00:00:00'

I am also having several issues using date-time fields. (I am using ver 5.50) including the '0000-00-00 00:00:00' you exposed. Most likely this "0" value is set when database does not accept the date-time format your scripts are trying to submit. AppGini does NOT handle any datetime type fields with...
