Re: 5.92 fatal filter issue for ALL users in TV

Hmm ... that's quite a complex use case :) But I've taken note of this and will inspect the issue for a fix in future releases.

Re: 5.92 fatal filter issue for ALL users in TV

Hmm ... So, if I understand correctly, you have an auto-fill lookup field that populates its content from a field configured as a link, and the link is set as a filter link. I'll try to inspect this issue in detail and see how to fix it in future releases. I noticed that the filter link you pasted i...

Re: 5.92 fatal filter issue for ALL users in TV

OK, could you send me the AXP and a screenshot of the filters page, with filters defined please? I'll try to reproduce this issue and see what causes the SQL error.

Re: 5.92 fatal filter issue for ALL users in TV

Hmm ... so, the steps to reproduce this bug is to define the filters then get the link via 'Save and apply filters'? I understand that when trying to define the filters you're unable to reproduce this bug ... only via the link, right?

Re: new user email

You're right indeed. I've added a fix for this in the roadmap fir future releases now: Include a {username} and {password} placeholder that can be replaced with the actual user and pass in the email notification. What you can actually do right now is to include the password reset link in the email t...

Re: worrying password issue

I've added the password strength issue as a top priority for the next release. You should see a fix in 2-3 weeks. Regarding direct access to uploaded files if users know the link, we'll work on handling this by adding a "gatekeeper" script that checks user credentials first before allowing the downl...

Re: 5.92: Lookup with Show as radio neeeds view access

OK, thanks for reporting this Olaf. I'll check it and make a fix in the next release. BTW, and this is not related to the above bug of course, having a separate table to store 'yes' and 'no' slows things down compared to using an options list. I know this might be just an example to clarify the bug,...

Re: 5.92: Lookup with Show as radio neeeds view access

Hmm ... to make sure I understand correctly: If the option 'Show as radio buttons' is checked for the lookup field, users aren't able to view the lookup options if they don't have access permissions to the parent table (expected behavior: they should be able to view the options as radio buttons) -- ...

Re: Create views in AppGini

Ahmed, when will that feature become reality?
Hmm ... sorry no ETA yet ... we need to study the effect of views in many parts of the generated code so it would need some research. Once we're confident it works smoothly, we'll include it the soonest possible into AppGini.

Re: V5.90&V5.91 apps generated does not work anymore.

What version of PHP and MySQL are you running on your localhost? AppGini 5.90 and above require PHP 5.6 or higher, and MySQL 5.6+ or MariaDB 10+. If your setup already meets these requirements, did you try the newly released AppGini 5.92, which fixes the bug reports we received from 5.90/5.91?

Re: An error occurred during program execution

That's weird. I tried reproducing this issue by placing an icon named QRadar.png in the table icons folder and searching for it, but couldn't see any errors: https://cdn.bigprof.com/screencasts/searching-for-table-icon.gif Was about to suggest a corrupted file, but you mention that renaming it worked.

Re: mail() function always go to spam

This is usually a tricky issue to diagnose. I see you're including a FROM header, and the sender domain is fitbookapp.net ... Is the server you're sending the email from serving the contents for that domain? If not, you should add its IP address in a DKIM record in your domain's DNS records. Another...

Re: Customizing the data displayed in the table view

I have fixed the syntax in this code now. It was actaully the code highlighting plugin we're using on our website trying to be act "smart" and fix the code :D
The corrected line is:

Code: Select all

$modField = "CONCAT('<img src=\"hooks/',`cameras`.`ratings`,'.gif\" border=\"0\" />')";

Re: Calculated fields before_insert hook

The calculated field value is updated after the detail view form is submitted then the record reloaded. The check in your code above takes place on clicking the 'Save changes' button, before submitting the form: $j('#insert').click(function(){ The fix to do the validation correctly is, instead of ch...

It's an AppGini function, defined in admin/incFunctions.php. So, you won't find it documented elsewhere, but you can view its source in that file if you wish to.

For anyway looking for a way to add an event listener on closing a modal window: $j('.modal').on('hidden.bs.modal', function(){ alert('modal closed!'); }) You should place the above code somewhere that would be executed after the modal is opened. Re: Text formatting issues when sending the contents of a record with the @mail function

OK, try using the AppGini function to_utf8() to encode the message:

Code: Select all

'message' => to_utf8($data['fieldname']),
Change fieldname above to the actual field name.

Re: Text formatting issues when sending the contents of a record with the @mail function

Try using the sendmail() function instead. It allows you to use HTML in the message, which allows using HTML entities .. So, instead of using è, you can use the HTML entity representation è ... For other HTML entities, see https://www.w3schools.com/charsets/ref_html_entities_e.asp Usage of send...
