Users in different timezones

Post by Phil Massyn » 2018-01-28 12:34

I have users in different time zones. The timezone is currently defined application wide in the development tool. It's ok to set that as the default time zone, but in reality, each user must be able to customise their own time zone, and date format depending on where they are located.

Please move time zone and date format as individual parameters into the membership_users table, that can be customised by the user.

Thanks for your suggestion. It makes perfect sense and we plan to enhance the profile page of users in future releases, adding ability to customize timezone, preferred theme, and other options. Stay tuned!

I realise that this post is a bit old but is anyone aware if this is possible yet? (to allow users to select the date format).

Short answer. No.
Any help offered comes with the best of intentions. Use it at your own risk. In any case, please make a backup of your existing environment before applying any changes.

It hasn't been implemented indeed, but I've re-added it to our backlog now, and will be included very soon in future releases.
