Hi has anybody used AppGini with an MS SQL database? Are there any plans to support MS SQL in the future?

Yes, some users were able to add support for MS SQL by adding SQL Server database functions to the generated db.php file. We are currently testing an implementation for this and will be available in future releases.
 AppGini plugins to add more power to your apps:
  • DataTalk is an innovative AppGini plugin based on ChatGPT that allows you to interact with your AppGini database using natural language questions, without writing any SQL. Check the demo video
  • Mass Update plugin: Update multiple records at once and improve your workflow efficiency.
  • Check our other plugins and get a generous discount of up to 30% when buying 2 or more plugins.

If someone has successfully used MS SQL with AppGini, can you please share the db.php config you have created (anonymized is fine)? Thanks.

Ahmad, This is old thread.. does the new versions now have SQL support?
IS this done?
Do you have a finished example DB file for justing JDBC or other driver?

Regarding SQL Server support, we investigated it for some time before and it turned out to be a non-easy task, as most SQL queries would have to be rewritten since SQL syntax is different from MySQL ... We plan to revisit this some time later .. perhaps in AppGini 6.0.
