Show/hide columns' button above table view.

Post by ronwill » 2018-01-25 10:12

After updating to latest version I noted an error was showing with above (see images). Just in case anyone else has same issue, it comes from using hooks to 'hide' tables header titles (as shown in templateTV.html), naturally the new system requires the table header titles to work so perhaps the templateTV.html file note needs to be updated.

Before anyone asks! The reason there is a random checkbox showing above is related to my removing the records selection checkbox from table view. I've not found a solution to this yet, as I don't want to show the checkboxes on some of my tables, I'll probably just add some text like 'show/hide padding' next to new blank checkbox so users won't question it (I'd removed row checkbox but column still there, new system inadvertently allows me to hide/unhide the column.

Thanks Ron for investigating this issue and reporting it in such detail .. We'll update the comment in the templateDV file and also try testing this scenario and some others to improve the behavior of the hide/show columns dialog.

P.S. Your signature might be due for an update :D

A problem similar to the above is also created when you use 'Template Left Image' = result:

Occurs even with standard (no changes) page hook files

When I change back to Horizontal Default, everything is ok again!
